Coming soon ….

We couldn't resist giving you a taster of our new Community Wall Display … it's almost ready to be installed!

Since putting the first trial panel up in January (see blogpost) we've been working hard to finalise the details. Working from Rachel Bingham's original plans, Volunteer Interpretation Assistant Robert Bracey has used ideas from Anglesey Abbey and Wicken Fen to design the frames and backing posters. They are works of art in themselves!  A changing display of artwork, stories and photos from our community groups and visitors will keep the Community Wall Display looking fresh, and we'll also use it as one of the ways we keep our visitors up to date with events and activities at Anglesey and Wicken.

Here's couple of shots of Robert and Janet choosing content to put in the 'Your drawings' and 'Our stories' panels.

The Community Wall Display is being installed on the wooden wall of the restaurant, on the left as you enter Anglesey Abbey's grounds from the visitors' centre. We can't wait to start choosing new material for the displays, so why not borrow crayons and paper from the Inspiration Station in reception next time you visit.

As soon as the Community Wall Display is up and running, we'll let you know.
